The 31st International Applied Geochemistry Symposium (IAGS 2026)

The 31st International Applied Geochemistry Symposium (IAGS 2026) will be held in Beijing, China, from September 12 to 16, 2026. Since its inception, the symposium has been dedicated to advancing applied research and technological innovation in geochemistry, with broad applications in mineral exploration, environmental monitoring, and sustainable resource development.
The theme of IAGS 2026 is:
“Data-driven geochemical data mining in support of mineral exploration and environmental studies”
The symposium highlights the transformative role of data science, machine learning, and advanced computational methods in applied geochemistry. It will showcase recent advances in geochemical data analytics and interpretation, emphasizing innovative approaches that are reshaping mineral exploration and environmental geoscience. The meeting aims to foster cross-disciplinary exchange, promote practical applications, and address global challenges related to exploration, environmental protection, and sustainable resource utilization.
On behalf of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and the Association of Applied Geochemists (AAG), we warmly invite experts, researchers, and professionals worldwide to participate in IAGS 2026 and contribute to discussions on the latest scientific and technological developments in data-driven geochemistry.
Special Session Proposal Update
As of February 3, 2026, the Organising Committee has received 18 Special Session proposals covering a wide range of topics, including:
AI and machine learning in geochemistry
Mineral exploration and mineralization processes
GeoHealth and environmental geochemistry
Rare earth and strategic mineral exploration
Geochemical mapping and data analysis methods
Big data and digital Earth applications
In response to strong community interest and ongoing inquiries, the submission deadline for Special Session proposals has been:
