The Temple of Heaven (Tiantan Park)The Temple of Heaven (Tiantan Park), originally named the "Altar of Heaven and Earth", is located at No. 7 Tiantan Neidongli, Dongcheng District, Beijing . Its construction began in 1420, the 18th year of the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty, and was renamed the "Temple of Heaven" in 1530, the 9th year of the Jiajing reign . It served as the site where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvests . Covering a total area of 273 hectares, it is the largest existing ancient sacrificial building complex in China . The Summer PalaceThe Summer Palace, a former Qing Dynasty imperial garden originally named the Garden of Clear Ripples (Qingyi Yuan), is located at 19 Xinjiangongmen Road, Haidian District, in the western suburbs of Beijing. The Imperial PalaceThe Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City, located in Beijing, China, was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Situated at the center of Beijing's Central Axis, it covers an area of approximately 720,000 square meters, with a floor space of about 150,000 square meters.
