Description
To give full play to the role of IAGS 2026 Conference as an academic exchange platform and gather cutting-edge research achievements and innovative ideas in relevant fields worldwide, we hereby publicly call for session proposals (including parallel sessions, roundtable forums, workshops, etc.) from experts, scholars, research institutions and practitioners in relevant fields at home and abroad. The specific details are as follows:
I. Focus Areas for Session Proposals
Session proposals should focus on the core research fields of The Association of Applied Geochemists (AAG), covering but not limited to geochemical data analysis,exploration for critical minerals and application of geological big data and artificial intelligence. Cross-disciplinary and innovative session themes are encouraged to promote the transformation and cooperation of academic achievements in the field.
II. Requirements for Session Formats and Duration
1. Parallel Sessions: Centered on academic presentations, including oral presentations, poster presentations and free discussion sessions. The duration will be assigned uniformly by the conference. When submitting a proposal, the agenda should be reasonably planned based on the intended number of oral presentations (6/9/12).
2. Thematic Workshops: Focus on in-depth discussions on cutting-edge technologies, method training or industry hot issues. They can include case-sharing, group discussion and other segments. The duration should be confirmed in advance by communicating with the organizing committee to ensure it is in line with the overall conference schedule.
3. Other Formats: If a session format other than the above (such as special sessions for young scholars, industry-academia-research matching meetings, etc.) is required, the characteristics of the format, organizational plan and required duration should be clearly stated in the proposal. The organizing committee will evaluate and decide whether to include it in the conference agenda.
III. Responsibilities of Session Conveners
1. Organization of Presentations: Responsible for attracting and confirming 6/9/12 oral presentations and a number of poster presentations, and ensuring that the content of the presentations is highly consistent with the session theme.
2. Abstract Review: Review all abstracts submitted to the session, determine whether to accept them as oral or poster presentations, and provide review comments and revision suggestions to the authors.
3. Agenda Arrangement: Complete the planning of the presentation order for the session according to the time slot assigned by the conference, ensuring the agenda is compact and logically clear.
4. Session Organization: Complete the registration for IAGS 2026 Conference, co-host the session with the Co-Chair during the conference, coordinate the connection between presentations, on-site interactions and handling of unexpected issues, and ensure the session proceeds smoothly in accordance with the established agenda.
IV.Other Notes
1. The organizing committee will provide basic conference support for the approved sessions (such as venue arrangement, basic equipment configuration, and inclusion of information in the conference handbook). Special technical support needs should be specified in the application and will be coordinated by the organizing committee after evaluation.
2. Session conveners shall be responsible for the authenticity of the submitted information. If there is any fraud, failure to complete the preparation work as required or irregular organizational behavior, the organizing committee has the right to cancel the session qualification.
